Improvements to Our Farm
Over the past months, we have been busy renovating and expanding our facilities. Bobby has been particularly busy fixing the drainage for the mud pond, setting up several more greenhouse ponds, building a cabana and landscaping for the 24,000-gallon show pond on our premises. We’d like to share with you some photos of our progress!
The two new mud ponds were finished this spring and are 100'x150'. Long term we will cover the ponds with a black poly net for extra protaction. In the future we will offer a mud pond service for all of our customers.
Last fall we had a harvest where 325 fish were harvested from the mud pond. We had our local koi club members come to assist which was very helpful. We had a great time!
This past spring Bobby and Mei went on their Japanese Koi buying trip to the Miyatora Koi Farm. Mr. Miyatora is selecting tosai for his farm.
Bobby spent all morning selecting tosai at the
Hunske Koi Farm. They are is known for their beautiful kohaku.
